Fourth of July. Many thanks to all who attended and sponsored our annual celebration – and to RCA Secretary John Leary, who took the lead in organizing the event. Parks Survey. The City is seeking comments on the use of “pocket parks” – which in Rosemont include the dog exercise area at Braddock Road and Commonwealth Avenue, and the Sunset Mini Park. Information about the parks is available at https://www.alexandriava.gov/recreation/info/default.aspx?id=65170#PocketParkPlanning and a survey is available at https://www.research.net/r/AlexandriaVA-PocketParks. The City previously expressed particular interest in feedback on the dog park, which does not meet the City’s default standards for such a use. The deadline is August 30.
