July 4th. Thanks to all who attended our first Independence Day celebration since the start of the pandemic; the event was well-attended by both residents and civic leaders. Special thanks to John Leary, RCA Secretary, for taking the lead role to organize, and to our sponsors, including Christine Garner, Simpson Real Estate Services, Chadwicks, Bisoux Salon, Jack Taylor’s Alexandria Toyota, Rosemont Landscaping, Yates Corner, and the Woodbine Rehabilitation Center. The Zebra looks numerous photos of the event – view them at https://tinyurl.com/ycnwz465.
Appreciation. We are saddened to report on the passing of Tom Holland, who had been the Treasurer of the RCA for more than 30 years. He was well known in the community, and was a vital part of events organized by the association.
Repaving. Scheduled projects in and near Rosemont include street resurfacing and sidewalk repairs on West Braddock Road between King Street and Russell Road, and sidewalk repairs on King Street between Janneys Lane and Russell Road. Residents of affected streets should receive advance notice through letters or project signs
